Football Index has today released its biggest market update of 2020 which has got a lot of traders excited. This announcement comes as uncertainty around other financial markets due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Also known as the Corona Virus, this outbreak has seen the biggest share price drops in one day since the financial crisis. However, the Football Index has once again shown that it is completely independent of the stock market (see comparison above).
So what is the latest market update? At Football Index Tips we have all the details you need. Not yet trading on Football Index? Don’t worry you can still benefit from this latest news. Sign up now to qualify!
Part 1: Football Index Trading Bonus
All traders love a trading bonus and the latest Football Index offering is no exception. This bonus comes in the form of Net Buys which has been the recently favoured option over deposit bonuses (by Football Index and traders alike). Traders are eligible to an 8.25% bonus on their Net Buys between 00:00:00 GMT on 10/03/2020 and 23:59:59 BST on 23/04/2020, up to a maximum bonus amount of £1,500. The payment of this bonus will be received by traders in a lump sum on 24/04/2020 and be paid directly into their Football Index wallet.
How do Net Buys work?
To put it simply Net Buys are calculated by ‘Value of Shares Bought – Value of Shares Sold’. So between 10/03/2020 and 23/04/2020 (23:59:59 BST) if you were to buy £100 worth of shares and make £20 worth of sales you would have a Net Buys amount of £80. This would earn you a bonus of £6.60 (8.25% of £80) on 24/04/2020.
What’s the difference between Net Buys Bonuses and Deposit Bonuses?
If you are new to Football Index bonuses then you may not know the difference between Net Buys or Deposit Bonuses. If you want a full explanation of how Football Index Net Buys Deposit Bonuses work then read the tab above. Deposit bonuses work in a similar but slightly different way. Deposit bonuses are exactly what they say on the tin. In these, the net amount you deposit into the Football Index during the promotion period is the amount eligible for the bonus. For example, if you net deposited £100 into Football Index with a bonus rate of 8.5% then you would receive £8.50 in bonus without that money necessarily having to be invested in shares.
Football Index has moved away from Deposit Bonuses to Net Buys Bonuses to ensure that any new money added into Football Index is being used to purchase shares in players and improve the market. This also helps them prevent traders from trying to make a quick buck by depositing money into their account so it was eligible for the bonus and then withdrawing it post-promotion period.
Who qualifies for the Trading Bonus?
The trading bonus is open to existing traders and new traders as long as they have a verified account. The verification process is usually completed upon sign up and is simply just the age and identity verification of the individual setting up the account. This is done in order to abide by Gambling Commission laws and is essentially just providing proof that you are who you say you are as well as being over the age of 18.
Do you have to opt-in to the Football Index Market Update?
Unlike many previous Football Index promotions, you are not required to opt-in for the February 2020 market updates or trading bonus. To be eligible to receive a trading bonus all you have to do is make sure that you have a positive Net Buys between 10/03/2020 and 23/04/2020 (23:59:59 BST).
Part 2: Double Dividends Boost
For the first time on Football Index, they are offering DOUBLE DIVIDENDS from March 10th 2020 up to and including April 3rd 2020. This promotion is open to ALL dividends including Media Dividends, Match Day Dividends and In-Play Dividends.
You’ll also be glad to hear that Football Index are keeping payouts simple and you won’t have to wait until the end of the promotion period. The bonus dividends will be paid out shortly after your normal dividends are paid out which means you’ll get your money almost immediately. To make it easier, standard dividends will be paid out in their individual amounts as normal and bonus dividends will be paid out as extra in one payment.
Do player shares have to be bought during the promotion period?
All traders will be glad to hear the answer to this, no. ALL player shares regardless of when they were purchased are eligible to win double dividends. This means that all of the shares in your portfolio are eligible for the dividends boost, all they need to do is win dividends.
Part 3: Lowering of Match Day Thresholds
The final part of the Market Update is a temporary lowering of the threshold for Match Days. This counters the effect of games being cancelled (such as the Serie A being put on hold) from lowering the monetary amount of dividends that players can earn. This will be in effect until the end of the football season.
The following image shows the changes in the Match Day thresholds for Gold, Silver and Bronze Match Day categories.
To summarise this infographic: Gold Match Days will be any day where there are 10+ eligible matches, Silver Match Days are now any days with 4-9 eligible matches and Bronze Match Days are now any days with 1-3 eligible matches.
What has Adam Cole said about the latest Football Index Market Update?
Adam Cole (Football Index Founder and CEO) released a statement to go along with the latest market update to address the potential impact of the COVID-19 outbreak as well as the platform’s reaction in order to reduce or mitigate any effect on the football stockmarket.
He opens his message by re-affirming that the Football Index market is independent of other financial markets with the latest drops not mirrored on the growing platform. The market update is also a response from Football Index in order to reassure traders that they are looking to minimise the risk of COVID-19, just as central banks and the real stock market is.
Cole states that this market update is part of a three-pronged approach in order to provide stability and confidence to the market amid some traders concerns. The message finishes on a sincere note whereby he wishes anyone impacted by the Corona Virus well from himself and the rest of the team at Football Index.
